Digital Services Act information

How to reach us under the Digital Services Act, how to report illegal content, and how we decide when we restrict a workspace.

Our role

Nordvec is a hosting service under the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065): we store the documents you upload or connect, at your request. We are not an online platform, because nothing stored on Nordvec is published to the public: the content of a workspace is private to that workspace. We are established in Denmark.

Point of contact for authorities

Authorities of the Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services can reach our single point of contact at legal@nordvec.com, which accepts correspondence in Danish and English.

Point of contact for users

If you use Nordvec, you can reach us about anything the Digital Services Act covers at legal@nordvec.com, in Danish or English. A person reads and answers every message; we never answer by automated means alone.

Reporting illegal content

Anyone can tell us about specific content stored on Nordvec that they believe is illegal, using the form on this page. Explain why you believe it is illegal, say exactly where it is, give your name and email address, and confirm that you believe in good faith that your notice is accurate and complete. Your name and email address are optional when the notice concerns child sexual abuse or exploitation. When you give an address, we confirm receipt by email and later tell you our decision and how to contest it. A person decides on every notice, diligently and objectively, on what the notice tells us; no automated means are used. If you cannot use the form, write to legal@nordvec.com.

Notice of illegal content

What kind of illegal content is it?

When we restrict a workspace

If content breaks our Acceptable Use Policy or the law, we may suspend a workspace or pause its syncs. Where only specific content is at issue, we usually first ask the workspace owner to remove it. Uploaded files are scanned automatically for malware; every other restriction is decided by a person. When we restrict a workspace because of its content, we send its owner a statement of reasons naming the measure, the facts, the term or law it rests on, and how to contest it. You can contest a restriction by replying to legal@nordvec.com, where a person reviews it, and you may also go to court. A restriction ordered by an authority follows that order instead.

Transparency reports

While Nordvec is a micro or small enterprise, it is exempt from the annual transparency report under Article 15(2) of the Digital Services Act. We will publish one when that changes.
