# Jira
Source: https://nordvec.com/docs/guides/connectors/jira

Connect Jira to Nordvec: what it imports, how to filter searches by it, and how to connect. Project management.

Imports Jira issues, including epics, with their comments and attachments.

## What it imports [#what-it-imports]

Nordvec imports these from Jira: issues, comments, and attachments.

Nordvec checks Jira for changes on a schedule, and a document deleted in Jira is removed at the next check.

## Filtering searches by Jira [#filtering-searches-by-jira]

Documents synced from Jira carry these `source_provider` values. Pass one to
[`/documents/search`](/docs/guides/how-to/filter-search) to restrict results to
this connector:

- `jira`

```bash
curl https://nordvec.com/api/v1/documents/search \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $NORDVEC_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"query": "quarterly report", "sourceProvider": "jira"}'
```

## Connecting Jira [#connecting-jira]

Connect Jira from **Connectors** in Nordvec. The connector reads with the account of the person who connects it.
Documents from Jira are private to the person who connected it until that person shares them.
An API key reads only what is shared with the workspace, so it finds these
documents once their owner shares them.
Documents are stored in the EU; every processor that touches them is published
with its jurisdiction and transfer basis at [/subprocessors](/subprocessors).
