# Google
Source: https://nordvec.com/docs/guides/connectors/google

Connect Google to Nordvec: what it imports, how to filter searches by it, and how to connect. Cloud storage.

Imports your Drive files, including Shared Drives, and your Gmail threads with their attachments.

## What it imports [#what-it-imports]

Nordvec imports these from Google: files, email threads, and attachments.

Nordvec checks Google for changes on a schedule, and a document deleted in Google is removed at the next check.

## Filtering searches by Google [#filtering-searches-by-google]

Documents synced from Google carry these `source_provider` values. Pass one to
[`/documents/search`](/docs/guides/how-to/filter-search) to restrict results to
this connector:

- `google`
- `gmail`

```bash
curl https://nordvec.com/api/v1/documents/search \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $NORDVEC_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"query": "quarterly report", "sourceProvider": "google"}'
```

## Connecting Google [#connecting-google]

Connect Google from **Connectors** in Nordvec. The connector reads with the account of the person who connects it.
Documents from Google are private to the person who connected it until that person shares them.
An API key reads only what is shared with the workspace, so it finds these
documents once their owner shares them.
Documents are stored in the EU; every processor that touches them is published
with its jurisdiction and transfer basis at [/subprocessors](/subprocessors).

<Callout type="info">
Google is treated as a privacy-sensitive personal source. Query text against it is
never collected for product analytics, protecting sensitive personal content.
