# Dropbox
Source: https://nordvec.com/docs/guides/connectors/dropbox

Connect Dropbox to Nordvec: what it imports, how to filter searches by it, and how to connect. Cloud storage.

Imports the documents, presentations and spreadsheets in your Dropbox folders.

## What it imports [#what-it-imports]

Nordvec imports these from Dropbox: files.

Nordvec checks Dropbox for changes on a schedule, and a document deleted in Dropbox is removed at the next check.

## Filtering searches by Dropbox [#filtering-searches-by-dropbox]

Documents synced from Dropbox carry these `source_provider` values. Pass one to
[`/documents/search`](/docs/guides/how-to/filter-search) to restrict results to
this connector:

- `dropbox`

```bash
curl https://nordvec.com/api/v1/documents/search \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $NORDVEC_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"query": "quarterly report", "sourceProvider": "dropbox"}'
```

## Connecting Dropbox [#connecting-dropbox]

Connect Dropbox from **Connectors** in Nordvec. The connector reads with the account of the person who connects it.
Documents from Dropbox are private to the person who connected it until that person shares them.
An API key reads only what is shared with the workspace, so it finds these
documents once their owner shares them.
Documents are stored in the EU; every processor that touches them is published
with its jurisdiction and transfer basis at [/subprocessors](/subprocessors).

<Callout type="info">
Dropbox is treated as a privacy-sensitive personal source. Query text against it is
never collected for product analytics, protecting sensitive personal content.
